Title: Regoltu e Candelas (Triulas)
(2014) Art residence CAMPIDARTE, Ussana, Italy.
Curated by Maurizio Coccia
In collaboration with Social Centre Pangea, Art Residence CAMPIDARTE and Società Agricola Mediterranea Monte Trexenta
The second phase (Triulas) of the project Regoltu e Candelas took place a year later.
The intent was to propose a vision of reciprocity and a possible approach alternative to profit alone and a single-crop intensive-exploitation of the land.
During the opening a walk guided by an expert local farmer through the surrounding landscapes of CAMPIDARTE art residency took place. Spontaneous species has been picked just about anywhere - as a symbolic harvest - then used to prepare lunch. Pellitzas - a traditional pasta from Sardinia - was kneaded and cooked together with the participants; the flour was donated by the agriculturists involved in the project during the month of residence.
Outcomes produced during the first phase (Cabidanni) - along with further creations made during the month of residence - were exhibited in the shape of videos and installations, both outdoor and inside CAMPIDARTE’s warehouse.
